About

I work with adults who look steady and capable on the outside but feel anxious, overwhelmed, or disconnected in their personal lives. Many of the people I see carry constant internal pressure — racing thoughts, irritability, tension, or difficulty shutting their minds off at night. That anxiety often shows up at home as withdrawal, short tempers, or emotional distance in their relationships. Some are also navigating patterns of numbing or escape — working longer hours, scrolling, drinking, or staying busy — just to quiet the noise. Over time, stress and old emotional habits can make it harder to communicate clearly, stay present, and maintain closeness with the people who matter most. My background, including Hazelden-trained experience in addiction treatment and alcohol and substance use disorders, allows me to provide meaningful accountability while also addressing the underlying anxiety, emotional patterns, or trauma that often drive these behaviors. I work with adults struggling not only with alcohol or substance use, but also with compulsive patterns such as pornography use, workaholism, and other habits that no longer feel fully in their control. Rather than focusing solely on stopping a behavior, we work to reduce the anxiety and internal pressure beneath it so lasting change becomes possible. Using a psychodynamic approach, I help adults understand the roots of their anxiety and relational patterns. Therapy is a place to slow down what’s happening beneath the surface, build steadier emotional regulation, and reconnect with yourself and the people you care about. The goal isn’t endless talking — it’s helping you feel calmer, more grounded, and more confident in how you show up. I provide therapy for adults in Round Rock, Austin, Cedar Park, Pflugerville, Georgetown, Dallas, Houston, and online across Texas. I understand how demanding work, family, and responsibility can feel — and how exhausting it is to hold everything together while feeling internally on edge.
